SOLIDARITY INITIATIVES
One more year, in San Pol de Mar, its City Hall, in the framework of the St. James major feast, organized a solidarity dinner on July 24 to raise awareness and raise funds in support of the Foundation’s projects. With this same goal, later, in November, participated in the “Fira de la Tardor” of this town with a solidarity stand.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Social Promotion has started a sensitization work in Italy that will end in 2020, on development and sustainability in accordance with the 2030 Agenda, aimed at students, teachers, and directors of secondary, university and business schools and human resources managers in Italy. Specifically, in 2018, it has conducted a research on business cases on sustainable development.
This action is part of a larger project developed by Elis, with the support of the Italian Cooperation, in order to strengthen the responsibility of the private sector (companies) to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
“Mercadillo Solidario Amichi”, in benefit of various social initiatives, including Social Promotion, to support and publicize their work.
On the other hand, to learn more about management techniques and transformation of the conflicts that may arise around water, the Fundación Botín and Social Promotion organized a conference, on February 28, and a workshop, on March 1 and 2, taught by Prof. Dr. Aaron Wolf.
Subsequently, from July 2 to 5, Social Promotion, together with the Fundación Botín and the Complutense University of Madrid, organized a course on access to water in humanitarian cooperation projects. Project managers of Social Promotion dealt with aspects such as the context and financing of international cooperation for development, the formulation of projects, with a focus on Logical Framework, and security in the field.
