In Peru and Nicaragua, work has been carried out for Agricultural development, improving the training of farmers and cattlemen, and agricultural production, and consequently also the food security of the population. “la Caixa” Foundation and the Conferenza Episcopale Italiana have financed these actions.
Also, in Paraguay, Guatemala, Ecuador and Venezuela, vulnerable women from rural areas have been offered employment-oriented vocational training. These projects have received the financial support of The OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), Conferenza Episcopale Italiana and private funds of Social Promotion Foundation.
On the other hand, the Foundation, with the support of the Regional Government of Madrid, has worked to guarantee access to drinking water and sanitation for the rural population of Santa Cruz (Bolivia), with a positive impact on health, through the construction of a water treatment plant.
