On April 19, Social Promotion Foundation participated in the XVI Edition of the IEB Solidarity Forum, where together with other NGOs it was able to bring students closer to their work and to the reality and challenges that rights holders face.

This Solidarity Fair is held annually and brings together Foundations and NGOs at the IEB headquarters with the aim of publicizing the social work they carry out, their Projects and the different ways of collaborating as volunteers.

On behalf of the Social Promotion Foundation, José Luis Zatarain, Director of Communication and Volunteering, and Lucía García Gilabert, from the Department of Communication, attended, presenting and commenting on the Foundation’s activity to all the participants who came to the stand.

This action is part of the development education activity of the Social Promotion Foundation.

Many of the students of the center, currently around 400, and some of their teachers, were able to obtain information about our projects in the different countries where the Foundation works.

We want to thank the interest of the people who came to the stand to ask about the way in which they could collaborate and about the Foundation’s volunteer activity.

In addition, that same day IEB organized at the end of the event, a conference entitled: “How to live with positivity in difficult situations”, in which Andrés Marcio, a 19-year-old young man with laminopathy, a rare disease, shared his testimony with the students.
