On February 26, Mr. Gracia visited in the Hebron district some actions implemented under the agreement of the FPSC “Improving the management of water resources in agriculture to ensure food security in the Palestinian Territories and Jordan” and in particular a water infrastructure project for the agricultural sector and a women’s cooperative.


Activities of rural development agreement were visited in the village of Deir Sumit (Hebron).

In a meeting with local press the Secretary highlighted the importance of promoting the role of local organizations.

Thanks to the agreement activities in this area, it has increased vegetable production and the income-generating capacity of at least nineteen families in this location.

The recovery of two hectares has been produced through cultivation.

   

This FPSC Agreement works to improve the management of water resources for agriculture in Jordan and the Palestinian Territories depressed rural areas through efficient water management, to improve agricultural productivity and food security in these regions.
