Jumana Trad, President of FPSC, participated in the Conference “Development with Equity. Reducing inequality in middle income countries. Contributions to the post2015 agenda”, held in the auditorium of the University of Salamanca, on the 20th and 21st of March.

In this conference organized by the Government of Spain, in collaboration with UNDP, the Secretary General of International Development Cooperation, Gonzalo Robles, as well as numerous national and international experts, analyzed the policies implemented during the last years to ensure the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), and the implication that this along with the challenges of the new international political and geo-economic development are taking for the Post2015 agenda.
Specifically, the reflections focused on inequality and the challenges that middle income countries are facing.
These countries, which have got 70% of poor people, and whose weight in the international community and global governance is growing, are facing needs and demands derived from extreme poverty.
Seminar Conclusions
