EcoPeace / Friends of the Earth Middle East with its project “Good neighbor in water” managed to involve 28 Palestinian, Jordanian and Israeli communities to protect and sustainably use shared water resources. The conference meets annually to all mayors of these communities along with other community leaders, activists and donors. More than 250 people from these communities, as well as parliamentarians from the three countries, the Governor of Jericho and various representatives of international development agencies participated in the conference in two days of presentations and discussions on shared water resources. Emphasis has been placed this year on the priority projects selected by the communities that aim to solve an acute problem and trans-boundary positive impact.
