On February 12 the national deputy and mayor of El Puerto de Santamaría, Alfonso Candón, and the Head of Citizen Participation of the City Council, José Antonio Hernández, paid a visit to the headquarters of the Foundation Social Promotion of Culture in Madrid. Representing the FPSC attended its Director General, María Beamonte, and José Luis Zatarain, Director of Communication and Volunteering.
The motive was to discuss some aspects of the two-year program that the City of El Puerto de Santamaría promotes around the Family and Children. The program objectives are aligned with the Second National Strategic Plan for Children and Adolescents 2013-2016 and created with the aim of reaching a national impact, to provide a forum for high level technical development which implies besides a differentiating element program, a substantial value in the field of family and child protection.
It will be addressed with particular emphasis on issues of the violence and children in all areas and manners, including through the use of new technologies.
Moreover the project has its headquarters in the city of El Puerto de Santamaría which entails a social development in the region.
The Project execution is entrusted to Margins and Links Foundation and the Foundation Social Promotion of Culture (FPSC).
The project is ambitious in its objectives and proposes different actions among which stands out the establishment of a committee of experts to ensure the scientific and technical soundness of the program contents and a qualified interaction with different social representatives as professionals of base, political representatives and media, as well as citizenship.
Another action under the program will be organizing a conference for professionals and future professionals in the field of recovery of children victims of violence and the prevention of it.
The project will be presented later this month at the Ministry of Health headquarters, in Madrid, and will be attended by the Minister Alfonso Alonso.
