As reported by Europa Press, the Reina Sofia Foundation on Tuesday approved an action plan amounting to 3.4 million euros for 2013, which sets priorities “in Alzheimer research and support for the most disadvantaged by the crisis in Spain.”

Thus was established during the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees held in the Palacio de la Zarzuela in Madrid chaired by Her Majesty the Queen.

In it, they fixed the Action Plan for Alzheimer’s research, which “provides for the funding of the Vallecas project on early diagnosis, Unit Diagnostics and Tissue Banks,” they said.

In the area of aid to the most disadvantaged, they will be dedicated to “finance projects implemented by the Federation of the Food Bank, The Food Bank Foundation of Madrid, Caritas Spain, the Spanish Red Cross, Foundation for the Social Promotion of Culture, Manos Unidas and ADRA Foundation,” they affirmed.
