Last September 2014 the FPSC has started a new project which aims to promote among Palestinian schools an inclusive educational model that integrates pupils with special educational needs.
The project is funded by the Nando Peretti Foundation, which for over 10 years has been working in different parts of the world supporting programs to promote human rights, defense and education of children, medical research, protection of the cultural and artistic heritages, the conservation of nature and environmental protection; and will run on partnership with Bethlehem University, for a period of 12 months.
The FPSC and Bethlehem University have previously worked in educational projects, and since 2010, within the agreement “Improving the quality of primary and secondary education in Palestinian Territories” have launched a major research and work in the area of Special Education, among other activities.

With the current project, work will continue in this direction, strengthening the skills of teachers in schools in Bethlehem, East Jerusalem and the north of Hebron, training them in new teaching methodologies and providing suitable tools to adequately treat students with learning difficulties, thus ensuring their stay in the school system. • 400 hours of training in various schools in the Bethlehem area, East Jerusalem and Hebron North.
• Development of the “Support Plan” tool by at least 15 teachers support for students with special needs in their schools.
• Production of “Learning Packages for Special Education” by the teachers involved in the school education.
