For yet another year, Social Promotion joins in the celebration of this World Refugee Day and makes it its own to commemorate the strength, courage and perseverance, and to show its support for all those who have been forced to flee their homes in order to save their lives.

Social Promotion’s commitment to refugees is embodied in our projects in Lebanon, a country that has taken in more than one million people who have been forced to flee the conflict that began in Syria in 2011.

With the aim of alleviating their suffering and safeguarding their human dignity, Social Promotion’s Humanitarian Aid actions have recently mainly targeted Syrian refugees living in camps in the Bekaa Valley who suffer from mental health and/or disability problems, through the provision of health and psychosocial support services at our Mental Health Clinic in Zahlé, and the care of refugees, mainly minors with disabilities, in the Azraq and Za’atari camps in northern Jordan.

In the framework of our MADAD projects, key reports on disability and mental health in Lebanon have been produced, which we share on the occasion of this Refugee Day.
