Improving Health Status of Syrian Refugees with Specific Needs through the Provision of Basic Health Needs

The project objective has been to improve the living conditions of Syrian refugees with disabilities or elderly in Lebanon. People with disabilities have received specific therapeutic services and mobility aids such as wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, etc. tailored to their specific needs.

In cases of amputation they have been administered prosthetics and / or orthopaedic devices. In addition, the elderly have been provided primary health care and medication. The project has also promoted awareness on the rights of persons with disabilities among humanitarian organizations working under Syrian emergency.
