The FPSC’s Middle East Studies Centre (CEMOFPSC in Spanish) organises, in cooperation with the Red Euro-Árabe de ONG para el Desarrollo y la Integración (READI) and Arab House, the seminar: “La eficacia de la Ayuda Humanitaria: Nuevos Actores Humanitarios en Oriente Medio”. It will take place next March 9th in the Ambassadors Hall of Casa Árabe in Madrid, and is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

It will deal with topics such as the need of a greater cooperation between actors of humanitarian aid and the relevance of the answer adjustment, specifically to the context, by the International Humanitarian Community, to guarantee its effectiveness.

The relevance of a humanitarian fund based on humanitarian needs, a changing humanitarian landscape, and the possible changes on the humanitarian sector will we analised.

The seminary’s goal is to contribute to the debate on the effectiveness and challenges of Humanitarian Aid in accordance with the 1013-2016 Master Plan of Spanish Cooperation (PD) and the work agenda for the 2016 Humanitarian World Summit (World Humanitarian Summit, Initial Preliminary Study, www.worldhumanitariansummit.org).
