Macarena Cotelo receives the Holy Sepulchre Gold Medal, handed in by the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem

Last Friday February 26th, Macarena Cotelo, Project Manager, and Manuel Cimadevilla, Head of Mission of the FPSC in Jerusalem, were received in audience by the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Monsignor Fouad Twal.

During the meeting, Monsignor Twal presented the Jerusalem Holy Sepulchre Gold Medal to Macarena Cotelo.

Last December marks 20 years since the first trip Pilar Lara, then President of FPSC, and Macarena Cotelo made to Palestine. That trip meant the beginning of a collaborative relationship that has dealt with 27 cooperation projects and more than 10 millions of Euros in aid.

FPSC has supported the Patriarch’s schools network in Palestine and Jordan, by means of the restoration, facilities enlargement, or the construction of two new schools in Gaza and Zababdeh; also a training of trainers programme has been supported, improving that way the equipments. Another important area of collaboration has been the housing construction and the job creation projects.
