Last Friday, July 10, 2015, “la Caixa” and the FPSC signed a MoU whereby “La Caixa” provides economic aid to the Foundation as part of its socioeconomic development program 2015-2016 for carrying out a project in Peru, aimed at strengthening farmers from six communities of the Guineamayo catchment.

The event was attended by Ariadna Bardolet, Director of International Programs of the International Area of Obra Social “la Caixa”, Luis Villalón, Director of Business Area of CaixaBank in Madrid, Javier Broncano, Institutions director of CaixaBank in Madrid, Carmen Pérez, Managing Director of Nantik Lum, and María Beamonte, Managing Director of the Foundation for the Social Promotion of Culture.

Through this agreement, both NGO have received a total amount of 644,000 euros from the International Area of Obra Social “la Caixa” for the implementation of their projects, in particular, FPSC, 360,000 euros.

The project “Organized farmers strengthen the economic, productive and social fabric, and their living conditions in the Guineamayo (Cajamarca – Peru) Catchment” that the Foundation will launch soon, aims to generate greater agricultural and livestock production yields and to enable greater profitability and job creation for 180 families in the Peruvian province.
