During the month of June, Jumana Trad, President of the FPSC, gave several speeches on the Middle East situation and the work that the foundation is developing in that important area.

The FPSC has worked in the region continuously since 1992 through projects of development cooperation and humanitarian aid. Promoting coexistence in the region and peace building has always been an aim for the Foundation in a region currently plagued by conflict.

The first one was held on June 18, before more than 100 attendees in Madrid at the Zayas Cultural Association headquarters.

On June 27, she participated as a speaker at the VIII Jornada de Caminos de Libertad a través de los Pirineos, where the issue of the persecuted and refugees in the world today was addressed. This Conference was organized by the Association de Amigos del Camino de Pallerols de Rialb a Andorra, and was held at the Cultural Centre and Congresses Lauredià, in the Principality of Andorra.

On the occasion of each conference, the president of the Foundation had the opportunity to show to the public the work and the humanitarian aid projects that the FPSC implements in the region, mainly among  Syrian refugees with disabilities and Christian families who had to flee from Northern Iraq to Baghdad, as well as the campaigns launched to support these activity, “Syria: Emergency Call” and “Iraq: A shout of encouragement“.

During the course of the conference at  Zayas Cultural association, she introduced the foundation’s campaign “Ponte en acc10n” that allows all the people identified with the work of the foundation and its foundational goals such as the eradication of poverty ,the promotion of education as an engine of change, among others, to collaborate becoming partner of FPSC.
