This 2016 it is 10 years since the foundation of Association Network of NGOs for Development of Iberian Countries (REDI), a network made up by 15 non-profit organisations from Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Spain, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Colombia and USA; which goal is the promotion of new ways of co-participation among those organizations from civil society, the government and business sector. It favours communication, cooperation and solidarity through specific actions strengthening human development from a shared perspective.
FPSC promoted the creation of REDI in 2005, understanding cooperation as an associated and participatory process based on the main prominence of persons and social groups. It is a fact cooperation progresses in the same way organisations are more efficient, and this is reached by means of the internal development of NGOs and the learning of those experiences achieved by others. That’s why institutional support to and between organisations and the exchange of successful experiences currently are necessary tools for the strengthening of the work of civil society organisations.
From the beginning, FPSC has kept a working strategy with local partners that has favoured continuity in cooperation works and, consequently, the growth of social organisations in recipient countries, both on their management skills and professional competence and social establishment.
This equitable process with joint responsibility conditions has meant the strengthening of civil society, promoting the creation of alliances and networks like REDI.
After 10 years working in this project, FPSC is proud to have driven this initiative and is totally involved to go on supporting and collaborating in this project
