Today, February 4th, London houses the Conference of Donor Countries for Syria. This gathers global leaders from all over the world to face the challenge of fund-raising to meet the humanitarian needs of thousands of Syrian refugees, as well as those ones displaced in the country, at war since 2011.
The “Supporting Syria and the region” meeting is hold in the “Queen Elizabeth II” conference centre and has been jointly organised by UN, UK, Germany, Kuwait and Norway.
Despite the hope for a soon political solution of the crisis, FPSC won’t reduce its effort in working in emergency aid and covering the medium-and-long-term needs of the refugees.
The real cost of humanitarian crisis is measured by the death and suffering of people.
