On Thursday, April 14th, the FPSC team met with Fr. Michael O´Sullivan, financial manager of the Apostolic Vicariate of South Arabia (United Arab Emirates, Oman and Yemen).

This region is not included in our work main area but the meeting allowed us to get closer to the reality of the societies from the Persian Gulf.

From the long conversation, we could highlight a positive idea: the encouraging change that the Governments of these States are committing, where religious freedom exists. Bahrain give ground to the Catholic Church for the construction of a cathedral, where tolerance is a standard as long as  the stipulated limits are respected, etc.

We  would like to thank not only the presence of Fr. Michael O´ Sullivan in the Foundation but also the great work that this Irish man does, working for the last 25 years in Arab countries such as Algeria, Sudan and Palestine. He is currently working for the Arabic and French-speaking communities in United Arab Emirates, Oman and Yemen.
