On Friday July 26, a group of 20 Spanish and Lebanese volunteers, led by Alain Kiwan (FPSC Project Coordinator) held a kermes for more than 200 Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian children ages 6 to 12. This activity took place outside the UNRWA school, located at the entrance of the Palestinian camp Dbaye.

Activities began at 11:00 am, with a variety of games and activities organized for the boys and girls, for the sole purpose of making them laugh. This conference was attended by Milagros Hernando, Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon, who enjoyed the intimate event. Attendees could watch a rendition of the Lebanese Circus performed sensationally by the NGO Arcenciel (“Cirquenciel”).

The FPSC would especially like to thank the Embassy of Spain, Instituto Cervantes, volunteers, friends who so selflessly collaborated in collecting clothing and toys, as well as Maamoul company that distributed free cakes and Lebanese sweets to all attendees.

Special thanks also to the team of volunteers: Toni Borrell, Alex Garcia Solé, Santi García Solé, Paul Pons, Willy Malvenda, Santi de Arquer, Alberto Puigarnau, Sete Gibernau, Alex Velez, Mateus, Saad Richa, Charbel Hobeika, Jean Azar and Michel Medarde.
