FPSC and Food for the Poor project held in Haiti with OFID funding, is entering the final phase of its implementation.

Since its start on October 2014, almost 150 households have been built with sanitation solutions (bathroom) and water collection in a highly impoverished area with severe water and sanitation shortage. Housing for low or without incomes families have been built in Les Cayes, Leogane and Thomazeau regions. During this period, 15 new houses have been built in Thomazeau with the OFID support.

Also training programs aimed at organizing community institutions, have been completed. These community institutions are responsible of the water control, inspections and the testing of quality of drinking water sources, a fundamental aspect for the project sustainability. These activities are complemented with water treatment systems previously installed, giving to each community a water treatment plant which works thanks to solar energy.
